If you had someone in your family turning 100 what would you do? Meet at my house for a glass of sweet tea and sit on the porch and plan a celebration!! That is what we’ll be doing at the 96th Alabama District Convention, August 1st to join us at the Battle House Hotel in Mobile. The “Peabody” of Mobile, we don’t have ducks, but we do have a swimming pool, tennis courts and a driving range on the roof. We’re planning great things for the whole family like our Children’s Events with swimming on Saturday morning, lunch and a trip to the Exploreum and IMAX Saturday afternoon.
For those children staying Saturday evening there will be Pizza and a movie. There will be workshops that look to the future, featuring our sponsored youth as leaders, and at our past. You may dress as a character in “The Great Gatsby” on Friday night; we’ll be at the History of Mobile Museum with seafood and the band “Swing”. Lot of surprises and fun!! Remember if you register by June 30th entered in our drawing to win back your registration fee. So come to Mobile and have a glass of sweet tea with us as we plan for our 100th birthday. We’ll be looking for you.

What if you could save a baby's life?
With The Eliminate Project, you can. Maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) kills one baby every nine minutes. But three doses of a 60-cent vaccine can protect mothers and babies. Kiwanis and UNICEF have joined forces to bring this vaccine to 38 countries, eliminating MNT from the face of the Earth. What can you do right now? Learn about MNT and advocate for the cause. Participate in our fundraisers. Over the next few years, the work we do will change the world. Find out more at www.TheEliminateProject.org.
